Uttar Pradesh / Lucknow: ‘Where did you put your Aadhaar card, now the police will come home…’ Cheating of 10 lakhs in the name of removing the name from the FIR
Cyber thugs did a fraud of Rs 10 lakh from a woman living in Lucknow. The victim lodged a complaint in the cyber cell and told that she was cheated by posing as the Mumbai Police. According to the information, Vibha Yadav, who lives in the Ram Manohar Lohia Sansthan premises of Police Station Vibhuti Khand, received a call from an unknown number a few days back. Amit Dada’s name was appearing on the Truecaller. On picking up the phone, the person told that a parcel has been sent from Mumbai to Taiwan using your Aadhaar number and police will come to your house for legal action on it. The caller had told his name as Naresh Gupta and an employee working in Mumbai Police.
During this, the victim asked him for the FIR copy of the case. The victim got scared seeing her name in the FIR copy. After this, when the victim called on the same number, a person named Prakash Kumar Guddu picked up the phone. He also told that your identity card has been used illegally.
