Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the rich folk culture and religious heritage of the state has been recognized in the country and the world by Uttarakhand’s tableau getting the first position on the occasion of Republic Day. Artists were present at the Chief Minister’s camp office located at the Chief Minister’s residence, along with the team leader of the tableau, Joint Director Information KS Chauhan. The Chief Minister told about the honor for the state on getting the first prize.
Significantly, on the guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a tableau based on Manaskhand was proposed. On the lines of Kedarnath and Badrinath, work is being done on the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission scheme for the mythological temples of Kumaon on the instructions of the Chief Minister. In which these major temples have to be developed. According to Dhami’s vision, more than 2 dozen temples have been included in the first phase.
These include Jageshwar Mahadev, Chitai Golju Temple, Suryadev Temple, Nandadevi Temple, Kasar Devi Temple, Jhankar Sam Temple, Patal Bhuvaneshwar, Hatkalika Temple, Mostmanu Temple, Berinag Temple, Malenath Temple, Thalkedar Temple, Bagnath Mahadev, Baijnath Temple, Kot Bhramari Temple, Patal Rudreshwar Cave, Golju Temple, Near Goralchaid Temple, Purnagiri Temple, Varahi Devi Temple Devidhura, Reetha Meetha Sahib, Nainadevi Temple, Garjiyadevi Temple, Kainchidham, Chaiti (Bal Sundari) Temple, Attriya Devi Temple and Nanakmatta Sahib were prominently included. This year, Manskhand’s tableau was displayed on behalf of Uttarakhand in the Republic Day celebrations on the duty path. A group of 18 artists also performed in the tableau. The theme song of the tableau ‘Jai Ho Kumaon-Jai Ho Garhwala’ was written by the famous poet Janardan Upreti of Pithoragarh. Which was given tone by Saurabh Maithani and his colleagues.
