Big relief to Garhwal’s YouTuber Smriti Negi from High Court, ban on any kind of action

The High Court has stayed any kind of investigation against him. The next hearing of the case will be on May 12. The court has given relief to Smriti, but has definitely asked some questions to the police. The court asked the government and the police to explain on what basis IPC sections 153A and 295A were invoked in the case. Here also tell you the whole matter. Smriti had made a blog in the DSA ground of Nainital in the past, in which she raised questions on the saffron flag being hoisted here. When his video went viral, Hinduist organizations took to the streets against him. He said that Swati insulted Hindus in her video.

A complaint was lodged at Mallital police station. The police had registered an FIR against Smriti at Mallital Kotwali on charges of inciting religious sentiments. The police had also issued non-bailable warrants against Smriti Negi. Smriti Negi had filed a petition against this in the High Court, in which she had sought quashing of the FIR lodged. The matter was heard before a single bench of Justice Ravindra Maithani. Now the High Court has asked the police to reply while staying the investigation of the FIR. YouTuber Smriti Negi is a resident of Kotdwar. Smriti is accused of hurt religious sentiments of  VHP, Bajrang Dal people in a vlog posted on Twitter. There is anger among VHP, Bajrang Dal people after this video surfaced.
