CJI gave the date of March 17, then the petitioner said – I might not be alive after March 6, Chandrachud said – Sorry

The bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud (CJI DY Chandrachud) is also hearing the tussle between the two factions of Shiv Sena, Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde, on Wednesday i.e. March 1. After the court proceedings began on Wednesday, Chief Justice Chandrachud was first listing the cases. Meanwhile, a petitioner started demanding urgent hearing on his case saying that his life was in danger.

The CJI gave the date and said – till then I will not be alive
On the request of the petitioner, Chief Justice Chandrachud listed the matter for March 17. On this, the petitioner argued that ‘they have issued a fake warrant against me… I will not be alive after March 6’. The petitioner further stated that Kapil Sibal and Sanjay Hegde are helping him. He appealed to the CJI for an urgent hearing, but Chief Justice Chandrachud listed the matter for March 17 saying sorry.

The judge asked what is the matter – the lawyer said that he does not know

During this, the counsel requested for adjournment of the matter and argued that he was a ‘Proxy Counsel’. On this argument of his, Justice Dhulia interrupted and said that what is a proxy? Say that you are a junior lawyer and now argue.

Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia further asked the lawyer what is the matter? On this, the advocate flatly refused and said that ‘I do not know anything’.

CJI got angry on the lawyer’s counter question
Let us tell you that earlier on February 28, when Chief Justice Chandrachud was listing the matter, a lawyer repeatedly asked him counter questions, on which the Chief Justice had raised strong objections. Justice Chandrachud replied to the lawyer’s repeated barbs that we are not sitting to answer your questions, but to pass orders… That’s All….
