On Sunday, the procession of Amit Srivastava, son of Ashok Srivastava, resident of Bankatiya in Shyamdeurwa area, reached Godavari Marriage Hall on Sunday. Amit was to be married to Moni Srivastava, daughter of Ram Achal Srivastava and the procession reached the marriage hall at 7 pm at the scheduled time. As the procession reached the venue, the reception was welcomed and the baraatis started having breakfast. The baraatis did not feel good after tasting the taste of the rasamalai found in breakfast. Meanwhile, Rasmalai was thrown away by some people without eating. Many people started stomach ache after eating rasmalai and for some time they started getting vomiting. On seeing this, the health of more baraatis started deteriorating. Meanwhile, there was an atmosphere of chaos in the entire marriage hall. The police and health department team also reached the spot as soon as the matter was received. The baraatis were rushed to the nearest hospital where the condition of 40 people is said to be critical. It is being told that about 100 people have deteriorated by eating rasmalai.

The sick baraatis were admitted to the District Hospital and BRD Medical College including CHC Pipraich by the police team who reached the spot. It is being told that people who have deteriorated, had ate rasmalai. Police, Health Department and Food and Safety Department team reached the spot and after that the police has sealed the marriage hall. After this whole case, the groom left the bride with a sindurdan and left the house.
