CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya and Assembly Speaker Ritu Bhushan Khanduri will undergo their respective examinations during the assembly session starting from Monday in summer capital Bharadisain. This time the session is happening after about eight months. During this period, all the three stalwarts have seen political vicissitudes ranging from their respective types of governance. Proposal to give job reservation to state agitators may come today

In the cabinet meeting to be held in Gairsain today, there may be a proposal to give 10 percent horizontal reservation in jobs to the state agitators. It will be a constitutional obligation of the Raj Bhavan to approve it on sending it to the Raj Bhavan for the second time. State agitators are not getting the benefit of 10 percent horizontal reservation in jobs since 2011. Earlier this bill was sent to Raj Bhavan for approval, but it was returned after some objection from Raj Bhavan. According to Ravindra Jugran, former president of Uttarakhand State Construction Andolankari Samman Parishad, he spoke to minister and sub-committee chairman Subodh Uniyal on this issue. The minister says that positive action will be taken on this in this session. Jugran said, in the thousands of recruitment examinations held in the last 11 years, not a single recruitment has been done from the agitating horizontal reservation quota. Jugran said that the dependents of martyrs, agitators injured in firing, jailed agitators and active agitators should have got this honour, but they did not get it.
