Madhya Pradesh / Jabalpur: The concoction of the quack did not work, the woman lost her life, the police is now investigating the complaint against the quack

The 45-year-old wife of the operator of a saree showroom in Jabalpur lost her life after drinking the concoction of a quack doctor. The deceased woman had a respiratory illness, for whose treatment the husband had taken her to a quack. On receiving a written complaint from the family, the police have registered an FIR and started investigation. Gorakhpur police station in-charge SN Dubey told that the victim’s family has given an application in this regard. Sandeep Chopra, who is behind Sharda Talkies, has a saree shop in Gorakhpur market. His wife Suchitra Chopra (age 45) was suffering from respiratory illness. Some person told the woman that respiratory disease is conditionally treated at Patail Dhaba located in Tilwara area. Coming to his words, Sandeep reached the dhaba on Tuesday with his wife.

Postmortem done after complaint of relatives

The quack doctor present there assured him that after drinking two lids of medicine, the disease would be eradicated from the root. Trusting him, the woman drank the medicine and returned home. After a few hours, when the health of the woman deteriorated, the family members took her to a private hospital. The woman died during treatment here. On the complaint of the relatives, the police handed over the dead body to the relatives after conducting the post-mortem. The last rites of the woman were performed on Wednesday itself.

Demand for action against the alleged quack doctor

Gorakhpur police station in-charge SN Dubey said that the suspected drug administered to the woman has been seized and sent for forensic examination. MLA Tarun Bhanot, BJP Municipal President Prabhat Sahu, Municipal Leader of Opposition Kamlesh Agarwal reached the police station after getting information about the death of a woman after being given decoction in the name of treatment and demanded action against the quack doctor.
