Uttarakhand / Kotdwar : BJP government responsible for the plight of Kalagarh
Addressing a public meeting in the Kalagarh area falling under Vidhan Sabha Kotdwar, former minister Surendra Singh Negi accused the BJP government of destroying Kalagarh. Said that people living in the irrigation colony for many years have been made homeless. The irrigation colony has been demolished, but no arrangement has been made for the displacement of the people living in it for years. Due to the closure of Kotdwar-Kalagarh road, people have to travel via UP, wasting time and money.
Late Friday evening, former minister Surendra Singh Negi did public relations in Kalagarh and took a meeting of Congress workers. During this public meeting, he lashed out at the BJP government and the regional MLA. The BJP has also closed the Congress-run motor road from Kotdwar to Kalagarh, due to which the residents of Kalagarh have to travel via UP to reach Kotdwar. Mayor Hemlata Negi, District President Chandramohan Kharkwal, Congress leaders Rajeshwar Kumar Agarwal, Akashdeep Sharma, Kennig Kumar, Sanjeev Kashyap, Anshul, Pritam Rautela etc. were present on this occasion.
