Son of Uttarakhand martyred on India-China border, body will reach home today

The mortal remains of Tikam Singh Negi, posted as Assistant Commandant in ITBP, Uttarakhand, who was martyred on the India-China border, will reach Dehradun today. He was a resident of Selakui area of Dehradun district. However, the reason for his martyrdom is not yet clear.
After receiving the news of martyrdom on Monday, there is an atmosphere of mourning in his village Rajawala. Administrative officials and a large number of villagers reached his residence and expressed condolences. Tikam Singh Negi (34), son of retired Subedar Rajendra Singh Negi, a resident of Rajawala, was Assistant Commandant in ITBP.
It is being told that Tikam’s unit was stationed on the India-China border in Ladakh on a special mission for ten days. Meanwhile, the news of his martyrdom came on Monday. Deputy District Magistrate Vinod Kumar said that the reasons for the martyrdom have not been known yet.
The mortal remains of Martyr Tikam Singh will come on Tuesday at 12 noon. He was admitted to ITBP in the year 2011. They were married in the year 2018 in village Badshahithor located in Chamba, Tehri. He left behind his father, wife and three-year-old son.
