Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. During this, CM Dhami discussed in detail with Prime Minister Modi many issues related to the development of Uttarakhand. Expressed gratitude to PM Modi for providing special support for various externally aided and capital projects, including the approval of the Jamrani Dam project. He told PM Modi that Uttarakhand has been given the responsibility of three important G20 meetings. Under which the meeting of the Working Group of the Chief Scientific Advisor has been successfully completed in Ramnagar. At the same time, CM Dhami also invited PM Modi to visit Char Dham Yatra, Adi Kailash and Mayawati Ashram located at Lohaghat. CM Dhami’s meeting with PM Modi lasted for about an hour.
Economic package of 2942.99 crores needed for Joshimath
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami informed PM Modi about relief and displacement works for the people affected by cracks and landslides in Joshimath. He said that an economic package of Rs 2942.99 crore is needed for landslides and landslides. With this package, construction of 150 pre-fabricated houses, site development work is to be done for temporary relief and housing arrangements for the affected. Also told that the work of redevelopment of Joshimath including compensation for residential and commercial infrastructure, compensation for lands of families falling in unsafe zone, permanent rehabilitation of affected people, acquisition of land is also to be done.
CM Dhami made this request regarding Jamrani dam project
At the same time, CM Dhami said that the state government has set up the Uttarakhand Landslide Mitigation and Management Center, which will give advice on landslide improvement and management at the national level as a Center of Excellence. The center has also started work in Joshimath. Through this, a roadmap has been prepared for the affected landslide, disaster affected risk areas. Also said that a recommendation has been given in the meeting of the Public Investment Board organized by the Ministry of Finance for the Jamrani Dam multipurpose project. He also requested PM Modi to get the financial approval of the Jamrani Dam multipurpose project from the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs.
Request to start Vande Bharat Rail from Haridwar to Varanasi, also told proposal to buy Marino sheep
Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami also urged to start Vande Bharat train service from Haridwar to Varanasi. He said that this will provide great convenience to the devotees and tourists. Its CM Dhami said that 240 Marino sheep were imported from Australia in December 2019 under the National Livestock Mission. Based on its success, there is a proposal to buy 500 Marino sheep in the first phase. Due to which about 500 metric tonnes of high quality wool can be available in the next 3-4 months. For this cooperation has been sought from the Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Ministry of Textiles.
Jhangore kheer will be served to students under mid-day meal
At the same time, under the Millet Mission, 10,000 metric tonnes of paddy will be purchased from farmers and distributed through PDS. Along with this, Jhangore’s kheer will be served to the students once a week in the mid-day meal. Apart from this, the need to issue minimum support price for Jhangora, Ramdana and Kakuni was also told. CM Dhami also requested to allow the use of true seeds of Gahat and Kala Bhatt crops under the National Food Security and Nutrition Mission, pulses and oilseeds.
Silent observance in Uttarakhand, emphasis on apple production
Chief Minister Dhami informed that 280 crore has been approved by NABARD for the establishment of 18 thousand polyhouses in Uttarakhand. This will provide employment to about one lakh people. Apart from this, to encourage maximum apple production in Uttarakhand, a scheme of 35 crores has been approved under the Apple Mission. Along with this, high value crops like kiwi, dragon fruit, strawberry etc. are also being promoted. He said that for the development of beekeeping in Uttarakhand, a proposal of Rs 249.529 crore has been sent to the Central Government as per the guidelines of the National Beekeeping and Honey Mission Scheme (NBHM). In which a grant of 203.391 crore is expected from the central government.
Air Force will operate Naini Saini Airport
CM Dhami requested the Prime Minister for the acceptance of the proposal and said that this proposal will directly benefit about 45,000 silent parents. Whereas, all the gardeners and farmers of the state will get indirect benefits through increase in production. AIIMS Rishikesh’s 280-bed satellite center is approved in Udham Singh Nagar. The responsibility of whose construction has been given to the executive body CPWD. Apart from this, talks were also held regarding the transfer of Pithoragarh’s Naini Saini Airport to the Indian Air Force (Ministry of Defence).
At the same time, Chief Minister Dhami said that under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin, it is necessary to achieve the target of allotment of houses for the remaining 25,423 beneficiaries in Uttarakhand in the month of April 2023, so that they can be completed by December 2023. With this, till the year 2024, all the eligible beneficiaries will be able to get the housing scheme. He said that ‘Strong Uttarakhand’ mission has been launched to strengthen the economy of the state. Under which a target has been set to double the GSDP from 2.75 lakh crore to 5.5 lakh crore in the next 5 years (2022-2027).
Musapani located near Mana village will be developed on the lines of Gujarat
Giving information about the new tourism policy of Uttarakhand, CM Dhami said that on the lines of Kashi Vishwanath and Ujjain Mahakal Corridor, work is being done on Harki Paidi Haridwar and Rishikesh Corridor. The Moosapani site, located 5 km from Mana village in Chamoli, has been identified for development on the lines of Nadabet (Gujarat). Apart from this, he also informed about the redevelopment works of Kedarnath Dham and Badrina Dham. He informed that 48 temples and gurudwaras have been identified as circuits under the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission mentioned in Skanda Purana in the Kumaon region. In which infrastructure development is proposed to be done in the first phase to make a circuit of 16 temples.
Emphasis on Chief Minister’s Skill Development Scheme, youth will get jobs abroad
At the same time, Chief Minister Kaushal Vikas Yojana is being prepared to provide employment and self-employment to the youth in Uttarakhand. Under which, through the Global Placement Agency, youth are placed abroad, especially in Japan, Germany, UK, USA, Singapore, Australia and Canada, mainly in sectors related to Elder Care, Nursing, Hospitality, AYUSH (Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda). Attractive package will be provided. At the same time, new mega and industrial policy, private industrial park policy and customized package have been promulgated to promote industry and employment.
Investment summit will be held in Uttarakhand
CM Dhami told that an investment summit is proposed in Uttarakhand in the month of October-November. Setu ‘State Institute for Empowering and Transforming Uttarakhand-SETU’ is being made on the lines of NITI Aayog in the state. State’s PM Gati Shakti portal has also been developed on the lines of PM Gati Shakti portal. Apart from this, Startup New Policy, in which a Venture Fund of about 200 crores has been established along with all other benefits.
