His eight-year-old daughter played an important role in unearthing the murder of a laborer in Thulendi, Bachhrawan. The girl told that mother had held father’s hand and Nanhu had strangled him. Based on her statement, the police arrested her mother and lover and sent them to jail.

Rajesh’s wife has illegal relations

Additional Superintendent of Police Naveen Kumar Singh told in the conversation on Sunday that Rajesh Kumar of Thulendi village was a daily wage laborer. Nanhu alias Mahtab butcher of the village used to come and go to his house for the last three months. He had illicit relations with Rajesh’s wife Reshma. Nanhu often used to reach Rajesh’s house with liquor. Rajesh was made to drink more alcohol, so that he would become intoxicated. Nanhu reached Reshma’s house at around seven o’clock on the night of 30 March. Nanhu, Rajesh and Reshma sat drinking together. Rajesh was made to drink more alcohol, due to which he became inebriated. That night around 8.45 pm, Rajesh’s intoxication subsided a bit and he got up and sat down.

Nanhu strangled to death

When he saw Nanhu and Reshma in an objectionable condition, he was furious. He started shouting Nanhu and his wife then his daughter Roshni, Kiran and son Vikas who were sleeping on the terrace came there. In front of the children, Reshma held both the hands of Rajesh. Taking the opportunity, Nanhu strangled Rajesh to death.

All three children were also beaten

The ASP said that Reshma and Nanhu together beat up the three children so that they would not tell anyone about the murder. When Rajesh’s post-mortem report confirmed that he had been strangled to death, a thorough investigation was started. Rajesh’s daughter Roshni told the whole incident to the police. Both the accused were caught and interrogated, after which the truth of the incident came to the fore.
