Uttarakhand: CM Dhami flagged off buses for Chardham Yatra, gates of Gangotri will open tomorrow

Chardham Yatra has started from today. Inaugurating the Chardham Yatra program from Rishikesh, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off the buses. Rishikesh is the first stop of Chardham Yatra. Every day thousands of pilgrims start their journey from here. On the other hand, at nine o’clock this morning, the Panchamukhi Bhogmurti of Lord Kedarnath, sitting in the Chal Vigraha Utsav Doli, left for its abode from Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath, the seat of Panchkedar. The doli will reach Vishwanath Temple Guptkashi for the night stay at the first stop amidst army band tunes and cheers of devotees.

The doors of Gangotri will open tomorrow
The doli will reach its abode on April 24 after spending the night at Phata on 22nd and Gaurikund on 23rd. The doors will be inaugurated on April 25 at 6.10 am. At the same time, the process of opening the doors of Kedarnath Dham has started with special worship of Lord Bhairavnath. Lord Bhairavnath, who is worshiped as Kshetrapal, was worshiped for a smooth journey to Lord Kedarnath. At the same time, Ashtadash Aarti was performed after adorning the deity with garlands made of puri-dumplings.

On the other hand, the doors of Gangotri Dham will open tomorrow on Saturday. Preparations have intensified for the doli farewell of Maa Ganga from the winter halt of Maa Ganga and her maiden Mukhba Mukhimath. Today Doli will leave for Dham. The portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will be opened on 22nd April on Akshaya Tritiya festival.
