Unwanted record added to Arjun Tendulkar’s name, gave more than 30 runs in one over, reached equal to Yash Dayal

Arjun Tendulkar, son of veteran Sachin Tendulkar, is currently playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023. Arjun bowled brilliantly in his first two matches of IPL career and got a lot of accolades but he could not maintain his rhythm in the third match. During the bowling in the match against Punjab Kings, an embarrassing record was added to Arjun’s name, which hardly any bowler would like to break.

In the 31st match of IPL 2023, Arjun Tendulkar brought the 16th over of the innings of Punjab Kings (MI v PBKS). This was his third over in this match. In this over of Arjun, acting captain of Punjab Kings Sam Curran and Harpreet Singh Bhatia hit a total of 31 runs. This is the costliest over by a bowler in IPL 2023. With this, Arjun equaled the embarrassing record of Gujarat Titans bowler Yash Dayal, who had conceded 31 runs in the last over against Kolkata Knight Riders this season. Rinku Singh hit 5 sixes in the last five balls of Yash’s over. Arjun and Yash Dayal are jointly at number one in terms of spending the most runs in an over in the 16th season of IPL.

Arjun Tendulkar gave away 17 runs in the first two overs
Arjun Tendulkar took one wicket for 48 runs in 3 overs. He lbw out Punjab opener Prabhsimran Singh on an excellent yorker. The 23-year-old Arjun at one stage gave away 17 runs in the first two overs, while in his third over he gave away 31 runs. Arjun’s first ball of this over was hit for a six while he bowled the next ball wide. A four was hit on the second ball while a single was scored on the third ball. Four and six were hit on the fourth and fifth ball respectively while the next ball was a no ball on which 4 runs were scored. Again hit a four on the last ball.

Daniel sams number one
Arjun Tendulkar has become the second most expensive bowler of Mumbai Indians. Earlier, Mumbai Indians fast bowler Daniel Symes had looted 35 runs in his one over. Sams spent 35 runs in his one over against Kolkata Knight Riders in the last season of IPL.
