Bihar / Jamui: My wife fights – does not even give me food, now I don’t want to live… 70 year old man jumped in front of the train

‘My wife always quarrels. She doesn’t even give me food on time, that’s why I don’t want to live. Nobody needs me.’ This is the pain of the old man who tried to end his life by jumping in front of a train near Jamui railway station. However, after a lot of effort, some youths saved the old man before he was hit by the train.

The old man’s life was saved, but hearing his tears and pain, the people present there were shocked. At present, the police has started investigating the matter along with taking the injured to Sadar Hospital. The old man has been identified as 70-year-old Budho Yadav, a resident of Rahnan village of Mahadev Simaria under Sikandra police station area.

The injured Budho told that he wanted to end his life due to family discord. His wife quarrels over everything. She does not give food on time. No one in the house listens to him or talks properly, so he does not want to live. No one needs them in the house.

Life saved, but back hurt

Here in connection with the incident, the local youth told that the old man had come walking towards a culvert on the railway track adjacent to Jamui station. He tried to jump in front of Jhajha-Patna EMU train. Coincidentally some youths were present there, who saved the old man before he was hit by the train. The old man’s back was injured in the incident. After this the villagers informed the Malaypur police station.

Ravi Kumar, Additional Police Station Officer of Malaypur Police Station, reached the spot along with the police force and admitted the old man to Jamui Sadar Hospital for treatment, where the condition of the old man was said to be out of danger. Malaypur police station chief Virbhadra Singh said that the matter is being investigated while informing the relatives of the old man about the incident.
