The Kanpur Police has arrested a person in connection with receiving death threats to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. According to the information received, Kanpur police has arrested a youth named Amin from Babupurwa area. The criminal had sent a message on Dial 112 threatening to kill CM Yogi, after which the Lucknow Police had registered a case. The accused disliked his girlfriend’s father, and had hatched the entire game to trap her.

‘Wanted to trap his girlfriend’s father’

Giving information about this, ACP Santosh Kumar of Babupurwa said, ‘On April 25, a call was received from mobile on dial 112, in which the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh was threatened. Taking quick action on this information, the police arrested Amin alias Chhotu resident Begumpurwa, Babupurwa, from whose possession mobile and SIM have been recovered. He told that he had stolen the mobile and made this threat. Police said that the youth wanted to implicate his girlfriend’s father, that is why he stole his phone and made the threat call.

‘Amin’s girlfriend’s father was unhappy with the relationship’

During the investigation, when the Kanpur police questioned the owner of the mobile phone, it was found that his phone had gone missing. Further investigation revealed that the youth named Amin alias Chhotu did not like his girlfriend’s father as he was unhappy with the relationship. Police said Amin was being booked for mobile theft and other serious sections were being slapped, and he had threatened the CM only to implicate his girlfriend’s father. The police said that they have arrested the youth and will be produced before the court on Wednesday and sent to jail.
