Bhumika Chawla reveals she was fired from ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ and ‘Jab We Met’ after ‘Tere Naam’

Bhumika Chawla made her Hindi debut with Tere Naam opposite Salman Khan. These days she is appearing in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. This does not mean that in the meantime she was away from films. She was continuously working in the South. He gave an interview in connection with KBKJ. In this, Bhumika told that after giving blockbusters like ‘Tere Naam’, she had signed many big films. But one by one he was removed from these films.

In an interview given to Siddharth Kannan, Bhumika talked about her innings in Hindi films. He told that after ‘Tere Naam’ he had signed films like ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ and ‘Jab We Met’. But he was thrown out of these films without giving any reason. Bhumika says-

“I got a lot of offers. But I have been a bit choosy about my work. I had signed a big picture. But his production changed. Then the hero changed. followed by the title of the picture. Then the heroine also changed. But I never felt bad about these things. I felt bad only once. When I signed ‘Jab We Met’ and she could not do it. First of all me and Bobby were doing that film. Then he was being called by the name ‘Train’. After that Shahid and I were about to do that picture. Then that film was going to be made with Shahid about Ayesha. But finally made with Shahid and Kareena. This is how things happened. But never mind. I only felt bad at that time. Never after that. Because I move on. I don’t think much.

Bhumika had also signed ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ with Sanjay Dutt. But Gracy Singh was cast in the picture after taking him out. However, after many years he talked to Rajkumar Hirani about this. Bhumika says-

“I had signed ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’. ‘Kannathil Muthamittal’ could not be made with Mani Sir (Maniratnam). When we met at some place after 10-12 years, Raju sir told me the reason behind it. He said, ‘You were removed from the film because of someone else’s mistake’. But ok. All this happens here.

Bhumika Chawla acted in Hindi film named ‘Gandhi, My Father’ in 2006. After this she started working in Telugu, Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Malayalam films. After 10 years he did ‘M.S. Dhoni – An Untold Story’ made a comeback in Hindi cinema. After this, she appeared only in a few Hindi films. Now she is seen in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ with Salman. In this film, she played the role of Pooja Hegde’s character Bhagya’s sister-in-law.
