Tomato being sold up to Rs 120 a kg in Bengaluru
Let us tell you that there has been a sudden jump in the prices of tomatoes in Karnataka as well as in the country. Tomato prices in Bangalore are in the range of Rs 101 to Rs 121 per kg. The rise in prices has been attributed to the sudden rise in temperature in March and April, which resulted in pest attack on tomato crops, leading to reduction in yield and higher market prices.
