Now there will not be much expenditure in marriage, marriage will be held in 50 processions, bill presented in Parliament

A bill has been introduced in the Parliament today which can prove to be a boon for many poor households. Jasbir Singh Gill, Congress MP from Khadoor Sahib, Punjab, has introduced a private member’s bill in the Lok Sabha during the Monsoon Session of Parliament. This bill will be able to control the expenses incurred in marriages.

Only 50 people will be involved in the procession
Congress MP Jasbir Singh Gill has introduced a private member’s bill in the Lok Sabha on Friday. According to which only 50 people will be able to participate in the procession. Under this, not more than 10 dishes can be served in the wedding. Apart from this, no more than Rs 2500 can be given as Shagun or gift.

Keep a check on wasteful expenses
Explain that the aim of bringing this bill is to curb the wasteful expenditure in marriages. Also, through this bill, emphasis has been laid on limiting the number of wedding processions. So that wasteful expenses in weddings can be stopped.
