Uttarakhand: Researchers will get Rs 15 to 18 lakh under Higher Education Research Incentive Scheme – CM Dhami

Under the Chief Minister Higher Education Research Incentive Scheme, researchers will now be given an amount of Rs 15 to 18 lakh by the government. Through this scheme, teaching and research will be encouraged in emerging areas in humanities, social sciences, languages, literature, environment, burning issues, research on Uttarakhand development, tourism, traditional sciences, engineering. Due to which researchers will benefit. CM Pushkar Singh Dhami says that research work has special importance in social upliftment, for which it is our responsibility to empower researchers.

It should be noted that the wide subject area for research includes interdisciplinary subjects including science, arts and humanities, home science, commerce management. Under special circumstances, the incentive amount can be increased from Rs 15 lakh to a maximum of Rs 18 lakh. This amount of grant will be given in three installments. Meanwhile, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that ‘Chief Minister Higher Education Research Promotion Scheme’ has been started in the state. Under this, an amount of Rs 15 to 18 lakh will be provided to the research scholars.

CM Dhami further said that research work has special importance in social upliftment, for which it is our responsibility to empower researchers. For Chief Minister Higher Education Research Promotion Scheme, one has to apply through online Samarth portal. Under the scheme, regular senior teachers working in government, non-government, aided colleges and state university campuses and students studying regularly in related institutions will get the opportunity.
