Khel Mahakumbh 2023 will start in Uttarakhand from October 31, for the first time prize money will be given at the Nyaya Panchayat level.

Khel Mahakumbh 2023 will start in Uttarakhand from 31st October. Sports Minister Rekha Arya has instructed the officials to complete all preparations for this. According to departmental officials, more than four lakh participants will participate in it, in which for the first time, prize money will be given to the participants standing first, second and third at the Nyaya Panchayat level.

In a meeting with departmental officials in the assembly hall, the Minister said, every year the Khel Mahakumbh starts in the first week of October, but this time it has been decided to organize it from October 31 to the end of December. The Minister said, the situation regarding selection of venue, chief guest and competitions to be organized for the Khel Mahakumbh will be clarified soon.

Departmental officials said, the prize money has been increased in the competitions held from block to state level in the Khel Mahakumbh. At the block level, the participants standing first will be given Rs 500, the second will be given Rs 400 and the third will be given Rs 300. Apart from this, the prize money has also been increased at the state level.

In the state level competitions, the participants standing first will be given a prize money of Rs 1500, second will be given one thousand and third will be given seven hundred rupees, while the amount of food per player will be Rs 225. Special Principal Secretary Sports and Youth Welfare Abhinav Kumar, Director Youth Welfare Jitendra Kumar Sonkar, Deputy Secretary Youth Welfare Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Joint Director Ajay Aggarwal etc. were present in the meeting.
