Truth and Reality

‘Congress was once the champion of minorities…’, Ghulam Nabi Azad targeted Congress’s defeat in three states.

Counting of votes is going on in four states, meanwhile, Congress government seems to be going down in three states, on which Democratic Progressive Azad Party President Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Sunday that the oldest party of the state, Congress, will lose in the assembly elections. Is facing problems because there is no issue of minorities in its agenda.

Azad cornered Congress on minority issue

Azad spoke at a press conference after assembly election results in three states – Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh showed the Bharatiya Janata Party making a huge leap – and said the Congress did not mention the issues the minorities were facing. He said, one thing I have noticed in the last 20-25 days is that the Congress which was considered the champion of minorities, did not talk about minorities… Now minorities are not on the agenda of the Congress.

Defeat will worry Congress

The Bharatiya Janata Party looks to achieve a landslide victory by successfully defending its government in Madhya Pradesh and wresting power back from the Congress in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, ousting the Congress from power in three key states. The loss of three states in the heartland will worry the Congress very much, it means there is no one to take up the electoral ‘caste census’ of the Congress here. Let us tell you that counting of votes is going on in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Telangana. According to the trends so far, BJP is getting clear majority in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
