Various transport associations of the district together sent a memorandum to the President through the Deputy Commissioner regarding the repeal of the new provisions made in the Hit and Run Act. Before this, the operators gathered at Paridhi Griha and discussed about it.

Officials and members of the Sabha said that this law brought by the Central Government is against the drivers. Under this, if a driver leaves the vehicle and runs away after an accident, then there is a provision of a fine of Rs 7 lakh and a punishment of 10 years. The government should withdraw these new provisions, because the driver’s own life is in danger at the time of an accident. At the time of an accident, the crowd at the spot becomes uncontrollable. By forcefully imposing this law on drivers, the government is putting their lives in danger. The union expressed confidence that the President will consider this demand and issue orders to withdraw these provisions. Daulat Singh Thakur, Shyam Lal, Mukesh Pathak, Brijlal, Rakesh Kumar, Kulwant, Jagatram, Kuldeep, Pankaj, Amit, Rakesh, Suresh, Manohar and Ramlal were present on this occasion.
