If you are an Android user of WHATSAPP and after exhausting your quota of 15 GB storage, you will have to subscribe to GOOGLE ONE for chat backup, which is a fee based subscription.

What is the option for free WhatsApp chat?
If you want to continue backing up your WHATSAPP chats for free, you should upload small files to Google Drive. Apart from this, you will have to delete such photos and videos which you do not need. That means you will have to free up Google Drive storage. Apart from this, another solution is to take chat backup only of text and not of videos and photos.
