On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and took the injured to the hospital.

It is being told that tourists from Lucknow were going to Munsiyari to celebrate the New Year. In the accident, female tourist Pratima Kubaha (28), resident of Lucknow, died on the spot. While Sabita (24), Priya (29), Aastha Awasthi (23), Akanksha (24) and Anurag were injured.
