“India in 2024 will ensure justice for its students from the Modi government as its report card on education is marked with abject failure,” Kharge said, citing the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER). Citing this report, he said, “56.7 percent of students aged 14 to 18 years in rural India cannot solve third class mathematics. “26.5 per cent of students in this age group still cannot read a second grade level text fluently in their regional language.”
