The consecration of Ram temple is to take place on 22 January. Preparations are going on in the entire country including Ayodhya. In this sequence, a tweet by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is going viral. In which he has accused the Tamil Nadu government of being anti-Hindu regarding Ram temple.

Nirmala Sitharaman wrote on X

Nirmala Sitharaman tweeted from her official account on micro blogging site X that the Tamil Nadu government has banned the live telecast of Ayodhya Ram temple programs to be held on January 22. He further wrote that there are more than 200 temples of Shri Ram in Tamil Nadu. “No puja/bhajan/prasadam/annadanam is allowed in the name of Shri Ram in HR&CE managed temples. Police are also stopping privately run temples from organizing events. They are threatening the organizers that if they do anything like this, they will demolish the pandals. I strongly condemn this anti-Hindu, despicable action of the DMK state government.

Further, Nirmala Sitharaman wrote that heart-wrenching and strange scenes are being seen in many parts of Tamil Nadu. People are being stopped and threatened from organizing meals, feeding the poor, distributing sweets, celebrating, all the while all they want to see is Honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi performing the consecration of Lord Ram in #Ayodhya. Cable TV operators have been told that there is a possibility of power cut during the live telecast. This is an anti-Hindu move by #DMK, the key partner of I.N.D.I alliance.
