Uttarakhand: Congress will organize a symbolic assembly in Gairsain, many issues including Ankita murder case will be raised

Congress is furious over not convening the budget session in Gairsain. In this sequence, opposition party Congress is going to organize a symbolic assembly in Gairsain along with ‘INDIA’ alliance in protest against not holding the budget session in Gairsain on 27th February. Meanwhile, Congress leaders will play the roles of Chief Minister, Assembly Speaker, Leader of Opposition and MLAs.

A symbolic assembly will be organized on 27 February

Congress state president Karan Mahara said that a symbolic assembly will be organized on February 27 in Gairsain, the summer capital of the state. The main demand of the state agitators and the agitators who were martyred in the creation of the state was to declare Gairsain as the capital. Respecting this public sentiment, the government led by former Chief Minister Harish Rawat had constructed the assembly building and other structures there. Assembly session was also held in Gairsain. He said, when the assembly building was not built there, the cabinet meeting was held in a tent. But now the BJP government is avoiding organizing the assembly session there, ignoring the sentiments of the agitators.

Ankita Bhandari murder case and other issues will be raised

Karan Mahara said that if the assembly sessions will not be held in February and March in the capital of the hill state, then when will they be held. He said that in the symbolic assembly, issues like Ankita Bhandari murder case, land law, Agneepath Yojana, Joshimath disaster, case of gold plating in the sanctum sanctorum of Kedarnath, UKSSSC recruitment scam, Patwari recruitment paper leak, issues related to farmers and increasing crimes on women will be discussed. But questions will be raised.
