Uttarakhand: Heli service started for Pithoragarh-Munsiyari-Champawat, CM did virtual inauguration

Helicopter service has started from Haldwani to Pithoragarh, Champawat and Munsiyari from Thursday. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated it virtually at 10:30 am. Haldwani’s Goulapar MLA Mohan Bisht, BJP District President Pratap Bisht and others flagged off the heli service. Let us tell you that, online booking will start today (Thursday) in the afternoon. The helicopter will make two trips every day.

Let us tell you that it takes several hours to travel from Haldwani to Munsiyari, Pithoragarh and Champawat. The Central Government and CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had talked about promoting mountain tourism and starting heli service in view of the problems of the local people. In this sequence, Heritage Aviation made preparations to start this service. On February 2, a successful trial was conducted from Gaulapar helipad for Munsiyari, Pithoragarh and Champawat.
