Uttarakhand: BJP kept suspense on Haridwar and Pauri Lok Sabha seats, speculations of ticket cuts, preparations to field new faces!

BJP has declared candidates for three out of five seats in Uttarakhand Lok Sabha elections. These three Lok Sabha seats include Almora Pithoragarh, Nainital Udham Singh Nagar and Tehri Lok Sabha seats. On these three seats, the party high command has expressed confidence only in the old faces. Suspense still persists on two Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand.
The Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party has finalized the names of its candidates for 195 Lok Sabha seats across the country. The special thing is that out of the five Lok Sabha seats of Uttarakhand, the Election Committee has announced the names for three Lok Sabha seats. On the other hand, the election committee has not decided the names for two Lok Sabha seats. The big thing is that senior leaders of the party, who were former Chief Ministers, are MPs from both these Lok Sabha seats. In such a situation, speculations are being made that the tickets of sitting MPs may be cut on both these Lok Sabha seats.
The reason behind this is that confidence has been expressed in the sitting MPs in all the three Lok Sabha seats for which names have been decided. Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah, MP from Tehri Lok Sabha seat, has been given the ticket again. Ticket has been given to Ajay Tamta from Almora Lok Sabha seat and Ajay Bhatt from Nainital Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha seat after expressing confidence in him again.
The discussion is that when only the sitting MPs have been given tickets on three Lok Sabha seats, then why did the Central Election Committee of BJP not finalize the names on the remaining two seats? It is being discussed that there has been churning on many names on both these seats. Now the party can give place to a new face on both these seats. At present, former Chief Minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank is the MP from Haridwar Lok Sabha seat. Former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat is the MP from Pauri Lok Sabha seat. It is being said that if the party high command had to bet on them again, their names would have been finalized in the list already.
In such a situation, the name of Trivendra Singh Rawat is being discussed the most on Haridwar Lok Sabha seat. The name of High Command’s favorite Anil Baluni from Pauri Lok Sabha seat is also being discussed in full swing. The question being raised is why the party high command did not finalize the names for Haridwar Lok Sabha seat and Pauri Lok Sabha seat, while senior party leaders are MPs on both these seats. Amidst these questions, speculations are now being made about replacement of faces for tickets on both the seats. This is being confirmed by the list released by the Central Election Committee. If these MPs were to be given tickets, their names would have been released in the very first list.
