Uttarakhand: Pickup vehicle went out of control and fell into a deep ditch, driver died, others injured
Near Devprayag Saknidhar on Rishikesh Badrinath National Highway, the pickup vehicle went out of control and fell into a deep ditch. The driver died on the spot in the accident. While others are said to be injured. Police reached the spot and took the body of the deceased into their custody.
Pickup vehicle lost control and fell into ditch
The accident is said to have taken place on Thursday morning. According to the information, the vehicle loaded with vegetables was going from Rishikesh towards Hindolakhal. During this, the vehicle went out of control and fell into a ditch near Saknidhar before Devprayag. According to the information given by the police, a young man saved his life by jumping on the road. While the other youth fell into the ditch along with the vehicle.
Driver dies in accident
After receiving information about the incident, the police team immediately reached the spot. The police have taken the body of the deceased in their custody and sent it for post-mortem. It is being told that the accident happened due to the driver dozing off. The deceased has been identified as Abhishek Rawat (23), son of Sovanu, resident of Jamnikhal.
