Uttarakhand / Srinagar: Fire breaks out in Base Hospital premises of Srinagar Medical College, panic created after seeing the flames

There was panic in the Base Hospital of Srinagar Medical College when a fire broke out due to a short circuit in the verandah outside the Medical Superintendent’s office. Due to the fire, smoke spread throughout the verandah. As soon as this was heard, there was a stir in the entire hospital.

Fire broke out in Base Hospital premises
The incident happened on Wednesday evening. According to the information received, a short circuit suddenly occurred outside the MS office late in the evening around 8:15 and the sofa kept there caught fire. Medical Superintendent Dr. Ajay Vikram Singh reached the spot and called the security personnel, employees and fire brigade team on the spot.

Fire increased due to fans starting
MS of Base Medical, Ajay Vikram Singh said that at around 8.30 am, a fire broke out due to short circuit on the sofa installed outside the Medical Superintendent’s office of Base Hospital. Due to the fans being on, the fire started increasing.

There was panic after seeing the flames
Even before the fire brigade team arrived, the employees present there controlled the fire through the fire cylinder installed in the hospital. After which everyone heaved a sigh of relief. Medical Superintendent Dr. Ajay Vikram Singh said that due to timely control of the fire, a major incident was avoided.
