Vegetarian plate has been 7% expensive in March, these vegetables became villain, know the non-veg plate

The cost of vegetarian thali has increased in the month of March. Due to the increase in the prices of onion, tomato and potato, the veg thali has become 7 percent expensive on an annual basis. This information has come to light in a survey presented on Thursday by a unit of domestic rating agency Crisil. According to the news of Bhasha, Crisil Market Intelligence and Analysis said in its monthly rice rate report that due to the decrease in the prices of poultry, the cost of non-vegetarian thali was reduced by 7 percent last month.

The high price of these vegetables played a role

According to the news, the vegetarian thali includes roti, vegetables (onion, tomato and potato), rice, dal, curd and salad. The price of this thali increased to Rs 27.3 per plate in March, which was Rs 25.5 in the same period a year ago. However, the price of vegetarian thali has decreased in March compared to Rs 27.4 in February. The report says that due to low supply and low base rate, onion prices have increased by 40 per cent, tomato prices by 36 per cent and potato prices by 22 per cent on an annual basis, due to which the vegetarian thali has become expensive.

How is the trend regarding non-veg thali?

According to the report, due to less arrival, the price of rice has also increased by 14 percent and the price of pulses has increased by 22 percent compared to a year ago. On the other hand, the price of non-vegetarian i.e. non-veg thali was Rs 59.2 in the same period a year ago, which came down to Rs 54.9 last month. But its price is still higher than the Rs 54 per thali in February.
