Uttarakhand: The drum of development is being exposed, BJP should explain the reason for the plight of villages adopted by MPs – Karan Mahara

Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress President Karan Mahara today took on the central and state governments of the BJP, which are trumpeting development. Mahara has questioned the BJP leadership as to why the villages adopted by the MPs could not be developed? He said that when the plight of the villages adopted by the MPs is so bad, there is no need of rocket science to understand the condition of the rest of the villages in the state. The picture is as clear as a mirror, then why are all the BJP MPs who have failed in bringing about development not apologizing? Mahara said that this single case is enough to expose BJP’s claim of development.

Karan Mahara said that after coming to power ten years ago in 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. He had instructed every MP to develop one model village in his parliamentary constituency as model village by the year 2016, then three model villages by the year 2019 and then five villages by 2024. Accordingly, at least one model village should have been developed in every district. At that time, it was loudly trumpeted that under this scheme, the sectors of agriculture, health, sanitation, livelihood promotion, basic facilities, better environment and education etc. would be strengthened in the selected villages, but today, ten years later, the picture that has emerged is It is coming, it is very regrettable and will expose the claims of BJP. He said that Tehri MP had adopted only one village, Kwara, but it lagged behind compared to other villages. When Kyara village was selected under Raipur block of Dehradun, people thought that perhaps good days would come, but till date people are waiting for development. Same is the condition of Sirtoli, Sur Bangar, Bada Gaon, Malla Banas and Berai selected by Garhwal MP. The Nainital MP had adopted Devidhura, Jangaliya village and Devla Malla, while the Almora MP beat the drum of beautifying Sunoli, Gosani, Gogna and Majkot, the Haridwar MP did not even bother to adopt the village. Similarly, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal also remained indifferent. However, outgoing Rajya Sabha member Anil Baluni, who is contesting from Garhwal seat, had also adopted Baur village, but till date Baur village has also not seen good days.

State Congress President said that BJP beats the drum of development only with the help of statements. People have now understood his lies and will no longer be misled by him. The people of the state will pay the punishment for BJP’s breach of promise by voting for Congress on April 19. He reiterated that the BJP leadership should immediately apologize to the people of the state for this failure.
