Uttarakhand / Udham Singh Nagar: Children’s condition worsened due to eating food during religious rituals, admitted to hospital in unconscious state

There was a stir in Kichha of Udham Singh Nagar when the condition of three children deteriorated after eating food during a religious ritual organized in a house on the occasion of Ashtami. The children have been admitted to the hospital in an unconscious state.

Children’s condition worsens after eating food during religious rituals
According to information, Jeetendra has been living with his family in a rented house in Pant Colony of Kichha in Preetipur Pulbhatta for the last four months. Jitendra told that at around 9 am on Tuesday morning, there was a religious ritual on Ashtami in a house in the colony. In which some children of the colony along with his daughter Lovely (12), Bhumika (8) and son Mayank (6) had also gone.

Admitted to hospital in unconscious state
After eating food during a religious ritual, their children’s mouth became irritated and turned red. There were blisters inside the mouth and swelling on the lips. After which the children stopped speaking and started crying. On this the children were taken to Kichha CHC in an unconscious state. From where after first aid he was referred to the district hospital.

Possibility of food allergy or food poisoning
Jitendra alleged that the house owner did not even take care of the children when their condition deteriorated nor did he come to the hospital to see them. Here, regarding children, doctor Dr. Akash Mahajan has expressed the possibility of food allergy or food poisoning in the admitted children. At present the children are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
