Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau reacted to the arrest of three Indians over the death of Khalistani separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. He described Canada as a law-abiding country with a strong and independent justice system.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police have named three men in the case as 28-year-old Karanpreet Singh, 22-year-old Kamalpreet Singh, and 22-year-old Karan Brar, reports CBS. The three were arrested in Edmonton, Alberta, on Friday.

The Canadian Prime Minister said, ‘As the RCMP has said, the investigation is ongoing. Trudeau also indicated that more arrests could be made. After three Indian nationals were arrested in connection with the murder, police in Canada said they had worked with US law enforcement agencies. Police said there could be more arrests in the case.
Canada-India tensions
Hardeep Singh Nijjar, 45, was shot dead in June outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, a Vancouver suburb with a large Sikh population. A few months later, Justin Trudeau accused the Indian government of involvement, sparking a diplomatic crisis for Canada with New Delhi. India has dismissed Justin Trudeau’s allegations as absurd and motivated.
