Case of fire in forests of Uttarakhand reached SC, reprimanded central and state government

The Supreme Court, after hearing today on the fire in the forests of Uttarakhand, has reprimanded the Central and State Governments. The Supreme Court has asked the Central Government why it did not give the funds to the State Government as per the requirement.

The Supreme Court has asked the Central Government why it did not give the funds to the State Government as per the requirement. Along with this, the court has also raised questions on the improper utilization of funds by the state government.

The Supreme Court also criticized the fact that forest department officials were also put on election duty. The court has asked Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Radha Raturi to appear in person on Friday and answer. Let us tell you that in the earlier hearing, the Supreme Court had told the Dhami government that it cannot rely on rain or cloud seeding. There is a need to take some other steps as soon as possible to prevent fire.
