A joint press conference of India Alliance was held on Wednesday in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. National President of Congress Mallikarjun Kharge and President of Samajwadi Party Akhilesh Yadav addressed this press conference. He said that in my 53 years of career, I have never seen such a number of parties contesting elections together. 26 parties are contesting the elections together. Just imagine how angry people are with the government. This election is also important because it is an election that will save the future of the country. This is an election to protect our future generations and protect our rights and liberties. This election is an election to protect the reservation of weaker sections of the society and this is our duty because if the Constitution is saved, these rights will be saved.
Kharge said that we all should together save the country’s future, democracy and the Constitution. If this does not happen then we will become slaves again. If there is no democracy, there is dictatorship then from where will we vote for our ideology.
He said that BJP people are stopping the opposition leaders from filing nominations. They are also threatening our polling agents. I saw in Hyderabad that a woman candidate of BJP was identifying Muslim women by lifting their burqas. Are elections held in such a situation? Are elections conducted by intimidating people? But still we are fighting, moving forward as one. Our reports show that in these four phases of elections, our alliance is ahead and BJP is behind.
During this, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav said that the fourth phase of elections is over. BJP’s lies have climbed as much mountain as they had to climb, and now they have started descending. BJP is trapped in its own false claims.
Akhilesh said that BJP will yearn for even 140 seats, let alone crossing 400. BJP is losing by 2.5 lakh votes in every Lok Sabha constituency. Public support is visible among the public for INDIA Alliance, in the coming time the people of 140 crores will consolidate them on 140 seats.
