Police raided a hotel in Himachal Pradesh, created panic; 27 arrested

About 27 people who were having a liquor party in a private hotel here have been arrested. Most of the arrested people are youth. Serving alcohol was not allowed in this hotel. According to the information received, during this time the son of a big political figure was also present in the hotel. However, he could not be arrested.
Giving information about this, the police said that on Sunday night, information was received about a party being held in a hotel in Matansiddh, where serving of liquor was not allowed. After this the police raided and caught all the people present there drinking alcohol. At the same time, the son of a former minister, who was among the people attending the party, left the spot due to the lights being switched off, but his name is mentioned in the police report.
The police took all the arrested people to the local medical college hospital for medical examination. Police said that a case has been registered against the accused under Section 46 (penalty for drinking alcohol in public places) of the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act. Hamirpur Superintendent of Police Bhagat Singh said that after receiving secret information, the police team raided the hotel and arrested 27 people.
