IRCON International will soon start the work of laying the track on Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line at a cost of Rs 750 crore. The tender process for this has also been completed. Let us tell you that Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line project is very important from a strategic point of view. That is why its work is being completed rapidly.

Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line is 125 km long

Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line is 125 km long. There are 16 tunnels on this line. The work of digging these tunnels has also been completed by about 75 percent. The target has been set to complete the work of digging these tunnels by the year 2025. Let us tell you that 105 km of this railway line will pass through tunnels.

There will be bridges and railway stations in 20 km

Let us tell you that while 120 km of the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line will pass through tunnels, the remaining 25 km will have bridges and railway stations. The work of this railway project is being done rapidly and now the process of laying tracks on the railway line has also started. Railway officials say that the work of laying tracks will also be completed by the end of the year 2026.

There are 13 stations in the entire project

Let us tell you that there are a total of 13 stations on the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line. Out of which the work of Yoganagari railway station and Virbhadra railway station has also been completed. The most important thing is that trains have started running till Yognagari railway station. Apart from this, there are stations in Devprayag, Janasu, Maletha, Srinagar, Dharidevi, Tilni, Gholthir, Gauchar, Shivpuri, Byasi and Sinwai (Karnprayag) as well.
