Uttarakhand: CM Dhami inspected the disaster-affected area in Haldwani, instructed the officials to take concrete steps

Due to continuous heavy rains in Kumaon, life has been disrupted and a disaster-like situation has arisen. Roads are closed at many places due to landslides and soil erosion. At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Haldwani on Tuesday, where he inspected the international stadium area eroded by the Gaula river located in Gaulapar and directed the officials to immediately repair the soil erosion area.
During this, the Chief Minister said that heavy rains in Kumaon division have caused a lot of damage. Wherever the roads are closed, they are being restored on priority basis. Apart from this, the first priority is to provide relief amount to those who have suffered losses due to rain and for this a team of the district administration has been engaged. At the same time, the work of survey of damage has also started. Along with this, the process of giving compensation to those who have been affected by the disaster has also started.
He said that rain and floods have caused heavy damage in Khatima and Banbasa area. The situation is becoming normal there, but there is a possibility of more rain in the coming days. Many connecting routes have been disrupted and many houses have been hit by landslides. At the same time, the condition is bad due to waterlogging in Khatima area and people are facing problems.
