Delhi: Amazing craze of making reels, maid stole jewellery worth lakhs to buy a camera

A shocking incident of theft has come to light in Dwarka area of the capital Delhi, where a maid stole gold and silver jewelry worth lakhs. A 30-year-old woman named Neetu Yadav stole from the house to buy a DSLR camera. Actually Neetu wanted to create high-quality video content on her Instagram and YouTube channel. Delhi Police has arrested the woman.
Camera was to be bought to make Instagram reels
According to the information, Neetu Yadav is from Rajasthan. She came to Delhi upset with her husband. Her husband was addicted to drugs and used to beat her. Neetu started working in many houses in Delhi. During this time she got addicted to making Instagram reels and YouTube videos. Someone advised her to buy a DSLR camera to make videos. She was told that videos are made in good resolution with DSLR.
Money was also asked from relatives
But Neetu did not have enough money to buy a DSLR camera. She also asked for a loan from her relatives for the camera, but no one gave her money. After this, she started working in a bungalow in Dwarka. When she saw the jewels in the house, she decided to steal them to buy a camera. The owner of the house had lodged a complaint of theft in the bungalow. He had told that his gold bracelet, silver chain and silver ornaments were stolen. He suspected that his maid had stolen it.
Police arrested
The police tried to call Neetu on her mobile phone, but her phone was switched off. The police also found the address given by Neetu to be fake. After this, the police searched the CCTV footage of the surrounding areas and talked to the local people. Finally, the police came to know about Neetu’s real whereabouts. When she was trying to escape from Delhi with a bag, the police arrested her. The police have also recovered stolen gold and silver ornaments from her. During interrogation, Neetu told, ‘Someone had advised me to buy a DSLR camera to make videos. The camera gives good resolution.’ That is why she committed the theft.
