Uttarakhand: Tata Trust will do the work of gap filling in various areas of the state, Chief Secretary presented the priorities and thrust areas of Uttarakhand government before Tata Trust

In a meeting with Tata Trust in the Secretariat, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi informed that Tata Trust in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Government will work in the areas of health care sector, telemedicine, protection of women and children from malnutrition, skill development of youth, education of girls, increasing participation of women in the workforce, capacity development and training of Anganwadi workers, smart classes, rural livelihood, migration, vibrant village, mental health and de-addiction.
Focusing on the priorities and thrust areas of the Uttarakhand Government before Tata Trust, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi urged to make arrangements for training for skill development in the Skill Development Institute of Tata Group in various places of the country including Mumbai, as per the needs and situation of the state for the youth of Uttarakhand. CS Smt. Raturi directed the officials to review the schemes of the state government for various sectors and do a gap analysis so that Tata Trust can work for this gap feeling. On the consent of Tata Trust to work in the field of telemedicine, she instructed that for this, first of all the hill districts and blocks should be identified. Along with this, health analysis of every district of Uttarakhand was talked about, under which analytical report of health facilities, basic medical infrastructure, staff, training etc. will be prepared in each district. Instructions were also given for a comprehensive study of the health sector of the state through McKenzie. Tata Trust agreed to cooperate in the digitization of health records in the state. Chief Secretary Smt. Radha Raturi asked Tata Trust to work for strengthening primary and secondary health care services by providing modern health facilities to the population living in remote places of the state. He directed to work on the action plan of rural livelihood to protect women and children from malnutrition and anemia, to provide quality education by strengthening primary and secondary education, to increase the participation of women in the workforce after higher education and to stop migration from rural areas, especially border villages. Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi has instructed all the departments to keep a report ready by the next meeting on which areas can be taken as assistance from Tata Trust.
During the meeting, the action plan of financial grant to 13 topper girls from weak socio-economic background of 13 districts of the state was talked about by Tata Trust.
Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi said that according to the report released by NITI Aayog, Uttarakhand ranks first in the country in the SDG Index 2023-24. To maintain this position, the state government aims to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure inclusive development.
