Angry with the commissioner and other divisional officers not sitting regularly in the Garhwal divisional headquarters in Pauri, the public protested fiercely in the commissioner’s office under the banner of the Civil Welfare Forum. They also demanded that the Garhwal Commissioner should perform his work from the Pauri headquarters.
The local public associated with the Civil Welfare Forum demanded from the government that the administration should remove the additional charge from Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey. So that he can give time to Pauri instead of Dehradun and perform his work from the commissionerate here. They allege that even during the monsoon season, the Garhwal Commissioner is not able to give time to Pauri. Due to which the problems of the common people are increasing. The public hopes that with the commissioner sitting in Pauri, other divisional officers will also start sitting regularly in their offices.

Vinay Ruhela said that officers should not hesitate in picking up the phone of the public and public representatives.
