Uttarakhand / Roorkee: Police revealed the theft of 8 lakh rupees, the cunning thief was caught along with his son
Roorkee police has disclosed the theft of 8 lakhs. Jewellery worth about 8 lakhs was stolen in Civil Line area on 2nd October. Disclosing this, two thieves, father and son, have been arrested. The third accused, who is the second son of the main accused, is absconding, and the police is searching for him.

Police has disclosed the theft of 8 lakhs. The police has also recovered stolen jewellery from both the accused. Along with this, dozens of cases have also been registered against the accused in UP and Uttarakhand. SP Rural Swapnkishore Singh said that on 2nd October, Mahavir Singh, a resident of Adarshnagar in Civil Line Kotwali area of Roorkee, had given a complaint to the police that unknown thieves had stolen jewellery worth about eight lakh rupees and cash worth 50 thousand from the cupboard in his house.
The cunning thief was caught with his son
On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case against unknown thieves and started investigation in the matter. Police teams worked in different ways and checked the CCTV cameras installed around the crime scene. After this, the team got information about two accused Yasin and Sajid with the help of informer system.
The police came to know that both are father and son. Police has arrested both of them from Roorkee. The team has recovered stolen jewellery and the car used in the crime from the possession of the accused. Dozens of cases are registered against accused Yasin in Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bareilly, Rajasthan and Dehradun.

Police said that Yasin is a cunning criminal. He used to do recce during the day with his two sons and carry out the thefts at night. The father and one son have been arrested. While the police is still searching for the accused’s other son Shamim.
SP Rural said that the accused have bought a house worth lakhs of rupees in Bharat Nagar Banda Road Roorkee along with motorcycles, expensive phones by selling the stolen goods and had also bought a new car a few days ago. He said that with the arrest of the accused, many theft cases have also been revealed. Along with this, the search is on for the second son of accused Yasin and soon he will also be arrested.
