The police have declared a bounty on the prisoners who escaped from Haridwar District Jail. A reward of Rs 50,000 each has been declared on both the prisoners. At the same time, Dehradun police has also become alert after the incident in Haridwar District Jail. On Tuesday, October 15, in view of the security arrangements of Dehradun District Jail, on the instructions of SSP Ajay Singh, CO Premnagar held a meeting with the officials of District Jail Dehradun regarding security.
In the meeting, other important points including monitoring and security of prisoners in the district jail were discussed. Also, necessary instructions related to security were given to the employees of PAC and Prison Security Force appointed for prison security. At the same time, after the Haridwar incident, instructions were issued to make security arrangements on the basis of protocol. Also, no such work will be done in the jails without permission, due to which conditions like Haridwar District Jail will be created. Apart from this, special attention has also been given to the notorious prisoners and visitors.
Let us tell you that last Friday night, Ramleela was being organized in Haridwar jail. During this, two prisoners escaped by climbing two stairs on the 22 feet high wall of the jail. In this case, 6 employees including the in-charge jail superintendent were suspended. The jail administration hid the information about the escape of the prisoners from Haridwar police for several hours.
