Fake judge caught in Gandhinagar, Gujarat; was running a fake court; also grabbed 100 acres of land by giving verdicts in disputed cases
A man in Gujarat created a fake tribunal. He called himself its judge and gave verdicts in his office in Gandhinagar by creating an atmosphere like a real court. The name of the accused is Morris Samuel.
As an arbitrator, fake judge Morris passed orders to get around 100 acres of government land worth billions of rupees registered in his name. The surprising thing is that this fake court was running for the last five years.
Ahmedabad police has arrested Morris on charges of cheating people by becoming a fake judge
His colleagues would stand as lawyers so that the proceedings would look real. Morris would trap those people whose land dispute cases were pending in the city’s civil court. He would take some money from his clients as fees to resolve their cases. Morris would call himself an official mediator appointed by the court. He would call his clients to his office in Gandhinagar, which was designed like a court.
Morris would hear arguments related to the case and pass orders as an officer of the tribunal. Not only this, his accomplices used to stand as court employees or lawyers to show that the proceedings were real. By this trick, the accused Morris had passed orders in his favor in more than 11 cases.
The real court registrar caught the fake judge In 2019, the accused had similarly passed an order in favor of his client. The case was related to a government land under the District Collector. His client claimed it and tried to get his name registered in the government documents for the land in Paldi area. Morris said that he had been appointed as a mediator by the government.
The fraud then started fake court proceedings, gave an order in favor of his client, directing the collector to register the client’s name in the documents of that land. To implement the order, Morris appealed to the civil court through another lawyer. In this, he attached the same order which he had issued.
However, the court registrar Hardik Desai found out that neither Morris is a mediator nor the order of the tribunal is real. He lodged a complaint at Karanj police station. After this, action was taken against the fraudster and his fake court was exposed.
Mahafraud Kiran Patel became PMO officer in Gujarat Earlier in 2023, the case of Kiran Patel, who claimed to be a senior officer of the Prime Minister’s Office, was also in the headlines. Ahmedabad Police had registered a case of fraud against Kiran Patel and his wife Malini on March 22. Both of them had taken the minister’s bungalow in the name of renovation and after that occupied it with fake documents.
Kiran Patel used to call himself Additional Director of Prime Minister’s Office i.e. PMO. Not only this, he used to travel with Z + security, bulletproof SUV and always stayed in a five star hotel. At the time of arrest, Patel had said that the central government has entrusted him with the responsibility of identifying the buyers of apple orchards in South Kashmir.
