South Africa’s victory changed the WTC points table, New Zealand suffered a loss

The points table of the third edition of the World Test Championship has seen a lot of changes in the last one month, in which now after South Africa won both the matches of the 2-match Test series against Bangladesh, changes have been seen again. South Africa, which was not looking strong in the points table before the start of this Test series, has put itself very strongly in the race to reach the final by winning both the matches. South Africa’s victory in the second Test match against Bangladesh has definitely caused a loss to the New Zealand team, in which they have now reached the 5th position.

South Africa reached directly to the fourth position

The second match of the Test series between Bangladesh and South Africa played at the Chattogram ground was finished within just three days, in which they won this match by an innings and 273 runs. After this victory, now the South African team has reached the fourth position in the points table, in which its percentage of points i.e. PCT became 54.17. On the other hand, the New Zealand team, which has already won two matches of the three-match Test series against India, has lost one position and is now at number 5 with 50 PCT points. Apart from this, the Bangladesh team is at number 8 with a percentage of 27.50 points after facing a clean sweep.

India and Australia remain in top-2

While the Indian team is still at number one in the WTC points table with 62.80 points percentage, the Australian team is at number two with 62.50 points percentage. In such a situation, Team India will have to try its best to win the Test match against the Kiwi team in Mumbai to retain its first position. The Australian team will play its next Test series at home against India from November 22 in the third edition of the WTC.
