Congress candidate Manoj Rawat reached to seek blessings of Baba Kedarnath and accused BJP of destroying the sanctity of the Dham
Congress candidate Manoj Rawat reached Kedarpuri for the Kedarnath assembly seat by-election and took blessings of Baba Kedar after visiting him. After this, he started his election campaign from the Dham. During this, he also met the pilgrimage priests and took a pledge to maintain the mythology and religiousness of Kedarnath Dham.
Congress candidate Manoj Rawat said that as a true Sanatani, he has started the election campaign by bowing at the feet of his idol Baba Kedar. He said that every year lakhs of devotees from the country and abroad reach Kedarnath Dham. Many of these pilgrims are very poor, due to which they have to spend the night outside in the cold due to lack of money. In such a situation, arrangements for accommodation and food should be made for the poor devotees in Kedarnath Dham.
Meeting the pilgrimage priest community, Congress candidate Manoj Rawat said that the tradition of Kedarnath Dham is being tampered with. Kedarnath Dham is being commercialized. Baba’s Dham is a symbol of yoga and spirituality, but the state government is conspiring to destroy the sanctity of this Dham, an example of which is the construction of Kedarnath temple in Delhi.
He said that the six-month employment of the local people is linked to the pilgrimage to Kedarnath Dham and the state government has a wrong eye on this employment as well. An attempt is being made to sell the employment here to outside capitalists, which will not be tolerated at any cost.
