The police has arrested the cunning youth from Delhi who threatened to kill the independent MP from Purnia, Pappu Yadav. The youth has revealed his name as Mahesh Pandey. Purnia SP Kartikeya Sharma has given information in this regard in a press conference on Saturday (02 November).
The SP said that the police was continuously investigating the case of threatening Purnia MP Pappu Yadav. In this episode, Mahesh Pandey, a resident of Delhi, came under the radar of the police. Mahesh Pandey was arrested from Delhi itself. In the initial interrogation, Mahesh Pandey said that he has nothing to do with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
‘The cunning youth has contact with honorable people’
Purnia SP Kartikeya Sharma further said about the arrested cunning man that this person has also had direct contact with many honorable people. He has also worked in the canteen of AIIMS and the Ministry. He was not working anywhere at the moment. All this has come to light in the preliminary investigation. We will present him in the court and will be interrogated again after taking him on remand.
Further, the SP said that Mahesh Pandey has been in contact with many associates of the MP. Along with this, investigation is being done on all other angles. The SP said that threats were made from many numbers, so the arrest has been made from the number from which the threat was made for the first time. The number from which the threat was made is from Dubai. Mahesh Pandey’s sister-in-law lives in Dubai. The SIM card was taken from Dubai itself. However, this is also a matter of investigation.
