Uttarakhand: Dhami government will deploy 84 bond-holding doctors in nine hilly districts, list handed over to Chief Medical Officers

Nine hill districts of the state have got 84 new MBBS doctors. These bond-holding doctors, who have passed out from Government Medical College Srinagar, have been posted. Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said, the list has been handed over to all the Chief Medical Officers.

Minister Rawat said that the government is continuously working for the upgradation of health facilities in the medical units of the state. Along with this, health services are continuously improving due to the deployment of specialist doctors, nursing officers and paramedical staff in various cadres.

In the same sequence, under the bond system, 84 bond-holding doctors who have passed out from Srinagar Medical College have been posted in nine hill districts. Under the bond system, 15 doctors have been posted in Pauri and Almora, 11 in Pithoragarh, six in Bageshwar, 9 each in Chamoli and Rudraprayag, 7 each in Uttarkashi and Tehri and five in Champawat.

The doctors will be posted in hospitals in remote and hilly areas on the basis of priority. Everyone will have to join within 20 days. The doctors have been appointed on a fixed remuneration for five years under the bond system. In case of violation of the bond, strict action will be taken against them as per the terms of the contract.
